Home/Charity

360 photo booth hire for children's charities.

If your charity is putting on an event for local children, we'll bring the experience free of charge.

The child standing at the edge of the room, unsure whether to join in - that's the one we're there for.

Party Octopus exists because of what happens when someone who was hanging back decides to step forward. We see it at every wedding we work. We see it more sharply at children's events, and with children who have had a harder time of it than most.

So we set aside dates each year for children's charities in and around Hull. No fee, no invoice, no catch. We bring the 360 booth, we bring a Director to run it, and every child who wants a go gets one - along with something to take home afterwards.

Two things make it work: the children have to be the ones using the booth, and the event needs to be within reach of Hull. Outside that we'd still like to hear from you - we'll either quote you properly or help you find a sponsor.

Free of charge

Events for the children themselves

Where the children are the ones on the booth, and the event is in or near Hull, we cover it ourselves. That's the whole point of the scheme.

  • Fun days, parties and family days
  • Hospice and hospital events
  • Youth groups and support groups
  • Christmas and summer events
  • Celebration and award evenings for young people

Every child leaves with their video and a printed keepsake.

Sponsor-funded

Charity balls & fundraising dinners

These are adult events, so we handle them differently - we help you find a business to sponsor the booth, rather than asking the charity to fund it.

  • The sponsor covers the cost of the experience
  • Their logo goes on every video from the night
  • Guests share that content the same evening
  • The charity pays nothing

Ideally you'll already have a few local companies in mind. If not, we'll help you approach one.

Why the two work differently

A fundraising ball has a job to do: get a room full of people in a generous mood and keep them there. A hosted booth is good at exactly that. It gives guests a reason to leave their table between courses, it puts your charity's branding on content that goes out to every guest's followers that night, and it gives your photographer a queue of people already laughing. We've seen tables bid harder after twenty minutes on the booth than before it.

That's worth paying for, which is why we help you find a sponsor to fund it, rather than asking you to. Our free dates are set aside for the events where the children themselves are the ones stepping on - a small pot, and that's where it goes.

A note on photographs of children.
We take this seriously. We work to your safeguarding policy, not ours - we'll follow your consent process, we won't photograph any child whose guardian hasn't agreed, and we won't post anything publicly without your written sign-off. Our team is insured and our equipment is PAT tested. Happy to share certificates and a DBS check with you before the day.
